Christmas day

After pajama-gift filled -russian salads eaten morning we got dressed and went to Christmas brunch to our friends house. They had beautiful Christmas tree surrounded by nicely packaged gifts. I did take about 100 photos of the tree but decided to post just a couple)) haha 

 No Christmas tree is complete without zaya(rabbit) ornament in this house). In ours no tree complete without chu-chu train!

 Of course there was food tons of it to be exact. I took pictures of sweets  my love and passion. Or more evil addiction. Those are Russian style  cranberry marshmallows. Some are dipped in dark chocolate and some made in to sandwiches that have it inside.

 The meringues I made on Christmas eve while my friend was making egg and garlic salad. It was like we both chose two easiest dishes to make. eggs + garlic = eggsalad and sugar + egg whites= meringues. Both turned out quite yummy. I experimented with meringues by adding couple drops of lavender essential oil to it. wanted to go with peppermint oil but couldn't find it. well it has to wait till next year.

 Rus and all the girls. He loved playing with them. when i walked in playroom he said "hi,mama" then smiled and went "bye-bye mama. door!"

 Santa is in in town! Look he even stopped by to say hello and give gifts to all good girls and boys!
When Santa rang the door bell and walked in Mila and Rus got little scared but then it all got better  because Santa gave them gifts.

 They still were very cautious and didn't want to get close to him. Sorry , Santa no kisses this year.

The day went by very fast .The merrier the life the faster it goes by. Right?  When we got home Rus was ready to crash but nope no sleeping at 5 so we tested new gifts, talked to grandma on Skype and ate some more and then he went to bed while I spend the night listening to music, drinking hot tea and editing pictures from the day  and thinking that we got all the gifts we wished for and the best of them are family and friend to share the joy and love with. Getting too sappy, before I drain my laptop in tears I have to go .Merry Christmas !
