Easter fun

This year Easter felt like a real holiday with pashi(easter bread), colored eggs(tryed natural coloring ), sharing food and joy with friends and family.

Not so comfort food #4 Beet juice

Hello, it's Monday again. Oh oops, no it's Wednesday or Thursday.. when you are mama days get mixed up sometimes or all the time. I've been trying to incorporate more veggies in our meals  And today's new food is Juice. Home made real juice.
I'm so glad that I put juicer on the Christmas list and got it ! Thank you ,nana!)
I've been painfully suffering from juiceless life for 2 years. What ? Go to the store, you'll say. Oh, I know there is great selection of different juices: from concentrate, with added minerals, citric acid, all natural ,even organic but the thing is none of them (just some organic brands) taste like juice should taste to me! I've been spoiled for 22 years. When i was a kid we were Eating best seasonal fruit and veggies right from the garden, sitting on the mulberry tree chatting with my friends and munching on deep purple mulberries. We snacked with warm, sun kissed plums right from the neighbour tree, we got stung by bees because the juice from sweet honey pears was running down our fingers and attracted the little pollen seekers.we were to busy to care. we knew what garden has best plums, where we could get best cherries. Our dog ate apricots from under the tree while we were playing outside. In my teenager years we stuffed our faces with black currents and gooseberries to cover alcohol The sour cherry tree right outside my house was so full that after picking 3 buckets we just had to leave rest on it. We just simply run out of jars and room in the cellar. My grandma, babushka, made delicious juice from all kinds of fruit, jam, preserved fruit... My mouth gets watery as I'm writing this...

Today we have apple, orange, carrot and beet juice. Adding beet to my juice was little unusual at first but  it gave it nice rich red color and when we tried it we understood it was a great decision!

1 st Birtday!

Rus turned one! I still cant believe  that he's one year old and running , climbing, dancing and talking in his baby language!

Руслану исполнился годик!!! Я досих пор не могу поверить что он бегает, лазит, танцуеь и болтает на своем детском языке,а всего 12 месяцев назад он был таким маленьким кохотным комочком сопящим у меня на руках.

1. He is a morning person. When he wakes up he's the happiest baby(can I still say baby?) ever! One morning he went got a book, climbed back in the bed and unfolded my fist and put a book in my hand. (hey mama, it's morning time, reading time)!

Happy Halloween

It's Ruslan's first Halloween. No trick or treat though, no candy but Yes to dress up and taking pictures!
 Oh and it got so difficult to take a photo of this unstoppable lil guy. He's on the move all day, and even when he calm he wants to play with camera. So phone is my best friend this months, small , fast to push the button and slide into the pocket.

11 Months ! Oh my I'm going to perform a nervous dance now. My little tiny baby boy is 11 months!Take a  breath in breath out and we 'll be celebrating his 1 st birthday.

Rus turned 10 months today! and here are ten things about him!

Руслану сегодня 10 месяцев! И вот 10 фактов про него!

1. He's saying mama ! and there is no doubt it 's Mama!))))
1. Он говорит мама! и я знаю это точно мама ни с чем не перепутаешь!

2. He also says papa and baba. the funny thing is when Julia was here he would look at her and say baba! (in Russian baba is short for grandma) ha ha)) After that Chris started calling my sis Auntie Baba

2. Так же он говорит папа и баба. Когда Юля была тут он смотрел на нее и говорил баба! Хаах После этого Крис предложил называть Юлю Auntie Baba (Тетушка баба)

Chris and Ruslan went to bed early tonight so I desided to catch up on  every months posts. Music, hot tea, chatting with my sis and eating chocolate. And looking through last months pictures. Oh boy, Ruslan is growing so fast and every time I stop and breath in all the changes that happend to him I think it cant get any better. How possibly he can get any cuter? But he gets. Love my boy ))))

We were very busy the rest of our weekend just enjoying the weather outside.

 My sweet little boy said his first word! Now when he's looking for me he says mama))))) Aren't I happy!??? Oh Yes I'm super happy)))) *smiling like crazy and got on the couch to start jumping*

8 months!!!/ 8 месяцев!!!

Hello! Guess who turned 8 months on the second???? Yes this tiny boy is growing so fast and I need time to realize it.)) One day he's barely moving his hands and next he's crawling like a rocket!

Привет!! Угадайте кому исполнилось 8 месяцев второго июля??? да вот этот малыш растет так неимоверно быстро я даже както все не привыкну. то он еще еле двигает ручонками, моргнешь и он уже ползает как ракета!!!

June,grandma,spinach/ Июнь, Грэндма, шпинат

June started with extremely hot weather and grandma's kisses. Grandma Stacey visited us as soon as school year was over. So mama got couple minutes of baby free crafting time and Ruslan got a new person to play with, eat, pull hair and skin, scream and even pee on. As for the last couple weeks we haven;t taken one family picture we bravely decided to go outside and take couple photos i summer heat. Here they are.

Первый месяц лета начался жарой и жаркими бабушкиными поцелуями. Грэндма Стэйси примчалась к нам погостить как только учебный год закончился.Так что у мамы появились пару свободный бэйби фри минуток для творчества, а у Руслана новый друг с которым можно играть, есть, дергать за волосы и кожу, кричать и пИсать. За последние несколько недель мы ни разу не сфотографировались всей семьей поэтому храбро решив это исправить отправились в жару на фотосессию! вот что у нас получилось!

7 месяцев/ 7 months!

On the 2nd of June Ruslan turned 7 months!
Last month he tried  first adult foods! Veggies rock! No cereal or fruit. I think it's not necessary for a baby this age. No meat or ribs! Yeee mean mom)))
He had different squash, zucchini, carrots, mix of these veggies and so on. He hates spinach though))

2го июня Руслану исполнилось 7 месяцев!
За этот месяц он попробовал взрослую еду! Овощи рулят! Нет каше и фруктам. Я думаю что еще рано нам их есть. И конечно приходится отказатся от мяса и ребрышек. )) Руслан попробовал разные овощи .в основном они ему понравились но только не шпинат! фууу какая гадость!

Ocean weekend/ Выходные на океане

Last weekend our little family  spent in Melbourne.

Сегодня в Америке празднуется Пасха. Пасхальные кролики заполнили  улицы. У меня тоже есть один пушистик))

Ruslan and Raspberries/Русланушка может делать ббрррр

Русланушка научился подтягиваться в положение сидя а еще плеваться и бренчать губами- по английски это - blow raspberries. 

Ruslan learned to pull himself up in a sitting position and also blow raspberries))
